The speaker giveaway

Hi guys.. Quite a long time since a post I suppose.. Anyways let me come directly to the subject. I have a set of Creative Inspire 2.1ch M2600 speakers. They were bought three years ago and there seems to be a problem in the sub-woofer and hence any one side can only work. So I have decided to give it away. I just can’t give it away so I’ve decided to give it to the person who brings in the most number of visitors to this blog. So first comment below this post if u want this speaker set and then make sure the visitors you bring in also comment with your name on this post. This contest is limited to only people from Chennai. So if you manage to do this and win we can contact via e-mail and decide how to get the speaker transferred to you.

Cheers,
Kaushik

Altec Lansing VS2421 : Review

Well the need arises for a new a set of speakers and why not try Altec Lansing. Does it turn out to be good or not ?? Well we will see more about that in the rest of the post but let me just give you a briefing about the speakers. I’d say that this is definitely for those on a tight budget but are not willing to compromise on performance (don’t expect the performanceAltec Lansing Logo of a FX5051). Certainly not appealing to those who are looking for style I’d suggest you find yourself some other set of speakers.

Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Review

Well I know it is quite a late review but I managed to get my hands on the phone just a couple of days ago. Sounded a good phone to buy under 15k given the fact that I was looking for a touch-screen phone.. Launched about 1 year ago approximately it runs on the Symbian S60 v9.5 5th edition OS for the touch-device. S60 is written all over the interface of the handset. The touch-screen was smooth and impressingly responsive. In this review we will see whether it lives up to its price !!

ATI Eyefinity - MDT A single graphics card powering six displays. Ever imagined that? Well even if you have not thought about it here is Eyefinity from ATI allowing you to run up to six Full     HD (1080p) displays from a single graphics card. With the launch of Windows 7 nearing and DirectX 11 that is coming packed with it will graphics card manufacturers be ready to pounce upon each with a graphics card that boasts a DirectX 11 compatible tag ? Well AMD is sure going to make hardcore gamers go insane with the Eyefinity feature. “AMD also claims that it will be able to produce an “eye-definition optical clarity” at 12 times 1080p HD. With a combined theoretical resolution of 286 megapixels, which AMD says is roughly equivalent to the resolution of a 90-degree arc of what the human eye sees” – Toms Hardware

Orkut is a very popular social networking site for many users throughout the world. It helps them to keep in touch with their old pals and colleagues. But now Orkut is free to all of its users. The only way Google can keep the site running is through ads. But ads ?? Now here comes the term annoying. Everyone wants to make a quick buck outta their site or blog. WordPress Style Greet Box for Blogger

You might have seen a greet box or a welcome box on a lot of WordPress Blogs when you land on their homepage either directly or from a referring site. That greeting message is generated by a plug-in which basically was only for WordPress. This feature was not available earlier for Blogger but now Kaushik of Classic Tutorials designed a blogger greet box. For example, if a visitor is referred to your blogger blog from Google the greet box suggests the visitor who is new to your site to subscribe to your RSS feed. This widget enhances reader interaction thereby giving your blog more loyal readers.

Disable & Enable USB Ports on your PC

A lot of us wonder how to enable and disable the USB ports on our PC. First of all let me tell you it is a very simple process. You may want to disable your USB Ports at times because your PC would be infected with a virus and in-case the Anti-Virus on your PC has expired or has not been updated in a while then the virus may spread and the hacker or your friend (who may not be knowing what has happened) will get the information that he/she has required.  Another prank that can be played on your computer using a Pen Drive is you have to create an autorun.inf file and some other files and load them on to your pen drive and voila — The saved passwords on your PC which you or your family members use for their convenience is stolen. So here a tutorial for you to disable & enable the USB Ports…
